I became involved with Team Fox Detroit in 2016 because Parkinson's disease has had a profound impact on my life. My dad was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's, and his 20-plus-year journey with the disease, leading up to his passing two years ago, deeply affected me. When Donna shared her story with me many years ago, even before she was officially diagnosed, it resonated in a powerful way, further reinforcing my passion for giving back and helping to find a cure. This cause is incredibly near and dear to my heart, and I am committed to supporting the fight against Parkinson's in any way I can.
Through this journey, I’ve come to realize that the importance of family, community, and philanthropy extends far beyond just one cause. It’s about supporting one another through life’s challenges, both big and small. Giving back isn’t just about financial donations; it’s about offering time, resources, and emotional support to create a better world for the generations to come. My commitment to Team Fox Detroit and the fight against Parkinson’s is rooted in the same values that have always been important to me: family, compassion, and the shared goal of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Together, we can honor those we’ve lost and support those still fighting, helping to build a future where a cure is within reach.
