As the world’s largest non-profit funder of Parkinson’s research, The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to accelerating a cure for Parkinson’s disease. The Foundation operates under one principle goal: to cure Parkinson’s and go out of business. Consequently, the foundation pursues this cure through an aggressive, highly targeted research program coupled with an active global engagement of scientists, Parkinson’s patients, business leaders, clinical trial participants, donors, and volunteers.
Among those volunteers stands Team Fox–the grassroots community fundraising program of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Team Fox Detroit is honored to join this community of families, professionals, and Parkinson’s patients who have raised over $70 million to date. 100% Of everything raised by Team Fox is committed directly to research for a cure in addition to improved treatments and therapies for Parkinson’s patients. Since our founding in 2016, we are proud to have contributed over $325,000 to these programs, and invite you to join us as we continue supporting research for a cure for Parkinson’s.
From our annual gala in downtown Detroit to golf outings, and everything in between, make sure to stay up to date on the latest Team Fox Detroit fundraising opportunities.
Team Fox Detroit is dedicated to bringing the power of Team Fox to the State of Michigan. Whether you are familiar with Team Fox, or visiting us for the first time, we’re here to help.
Parkinson’s is often referred to as a “boutique” disease because it is unique to each person. You cannot predict which symptoms you will get and when you will get them…
About Our Charity
In 2016, we formed Team Fox Detroit, or “Team Fox in the D,” to bring the power of Team Fox to the State of Michigan. Team Fox Detroit provides those afflicted with Parkinson’s, their families, friends, and loved ones the opportunity to be intimately involved in finding a cure. We are honored to be part of the Team Fox network–the grassroots community of fundraisers for the Michael J. Fox Foundation that has contributed over $70 million to Parkinson’s research to date. Our incredible team of fundraisers worked tirelessly to launch our inaugural (2016) and second-annual (2017) galas. Both were tremendously successful events–collectively raising over $325,000 with 100% of the proceeds being allocated to The Michael J. Fox Foundation Research Programs to find a cure.
Every donation no matter the size helps us continue our effort in providing funding to improve the medications, therapies, and research towards a cure for Parkinson’s disease. We are forever grateful for the continued support of our sponsors:
