I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2019 and a year later became involved with Team Fox Detroit.  All the Board and committee members were so friendly and welcoming.  It was wonderful to connect with other men and women with PD and I have since become a Board and committee member myself.

In 2021, I joined a Roche clinical trial with encouragement from another Board member.  My clinical trial consists of going to Quest Research Institute every four weeks for my IV infusion. I pray that the trial drug is helping me and others combat the progression of PD but if that doesn't happen in my lifetime, hopefully it will help others in the future. My father had PD so there is always the concern that it may one day affect my children or grandchildren.
