Welcome to Team Fox Detroit

As the world’s largest non-profit funder of Parkinson’s research, The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to accelerating a cure for Parkinson’s disease. The Foundation operates under one principle goal: to cure Parkinson’s and go out of business. Consequently, the foundation pursues this cure through an aggressive, highly targeted research program coupled with an active global engagement of scientists, Parkinson’s patients, business leaders, clinical trial participants, donors, and volunteers.

Among those volunteers stands Team Fox – the grassroots community fundraising program at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF).  MJFF accelerates high-impact science through smart risk taking and problem-solving with a commitment to urgency and efficiency.

Team Fox Detroit is proud to be one of thousands of Team Fox members worldwide to bring awareness and fundraise locally for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). 100% Of Team Fox proceeds will go directly to research efforts to help speed a cure and improved treatments and therapies for Parkinson’s patients. Founded in 2016, we are proud to have contributed over $550,000 to these programs. We invite you to join us as we continue supporting research for a cure for Parkinson’s.

Who We Are

In 2016, we formed Team Fox Detroit or “Team Fox in the D,” to bring the power of Team Fox to the State of Michigan. Team Fox Detroit provides those afflicted with Parkinson’s disease, their families, friends, and loved ones the opportunity to be involved in finding a cure. We are honored to be part of the Team Fox network – the grassroots community of fundraisers for the Michael J. Fox Foundation that has contributed over $77 million to Parkinson’s research to date. Over the past three years our incredible team of volunteers worked tirelessly bringing awareness of PD through various fundraisers here in the Metro Detroit area such as hosting galas, golf outings and various raffles. Each event is unique, inspiring and not only gave us hope but also raised over $582,000 with 100% of the proceeds going to The Michael J. Fox Foundation Research Programs to find a cure.

Donna Rajkovic

Founder & President

Donna founded Team Fox Detroit in 2016, a 501c(3) public charity dedicated to supporting the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. She became President in 2018 when the charity she founded received its official IRS designation. She was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s disease in 2012 and has been enrolled in the Parkinson’s Progression Marker Initiative (PPMI) research study at the Cleveland Clinic for seven years. The PPMI study is dedicated to finding a biomarker for Parkinson’s disease which would make it easier to diagnose and target new medications to stop disease progression. She is also enrolled in Fox Insight, an online clinical study where people with Parkinson’s disease and their loved ones share information that could transform the search for better treatments.

In addition to leading Team Fox Detroit, Donna serves as President of Serbian Sisters Ravanica whose primary function is to raise money to support children’s activities in the St. Lazarus Parish as well as other Orthodox charities in the Detroit metropolitan area. She also serves as Second Vice President of The Executive Board of St. Lazarus Ravanica Serbian Orthodox Church in Detroit, Michigan.

Donna is committed to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through funding research. She lives in Novi, MI with her husband Mike and their three sons, Stevan, Daniel, and Alan.
